While we have complete confidence in the quality of every product we offer, we also recognize that there may be instances where you may have a change of heart or find that the product you ordered doesn't quite meet your expectations.
For that reason, we offer a 30 Day Return Policy.
If you decide to return an item for any reason within 30 days after receipt of your order, please email us at contact@astronomyhaven.com with your order number, and we'll assist you. Below, you'll find detailed instructions on how to complete the return process.
Return Process
Product Inspection & Return Window: Upon receiving your shipment, it's crucial to inspect the item(s) for any potential damage or issues. Not all products fall within our 30 Day Return Policy. If any issues arise after this period, we won't be able to process a return.
Initiating a Return Process: To start a return, please email us at contact@astronomyhaven.com within 30 days after you receive the package with the following information:
- the reason why you want to return it;
- your order number;
- the product's serial number (check the bottom of the base or the nameplate).
Our customer service team will process your return request and create a return label for you.
IMPORTANT
- In order to receive a refund for the item(s) ordered, you MUST get the return label from us and the corresponding return address.
- The item(s) must arrive back to our distribution center in "Like New" condition and must contain all original packaging and accessories. "Like New" means that the item(s) you ordered must not show any visual signs of wear. We may request photos of the item(s) for confirmation.
- If item(s) are returned with visual signs of wear, or have any issues due to use, they will not be accepted and no refund will be given.
- In case you would like to organize the return using a carrier of your choice, bear in mind that it would require our approval. Shipping costs and a minimum 15% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund. Bear in mind shipping costs are non refundable.
- No refund will be given for item(s) that aren't in their original condition, damaged or with missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
- No refund will be given for item(s) that are returned more than 30 days after delivery.
Grace Period for Return Packages: Once a return label is issued, customers have 5 business days to tender the package to the carrier. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the return authorization.
Liability for Return Shipments: Customers are responsible for ensuring the safe return of packages. When shipping item(s) over $75, we recommend fully tracked services, official carrier distribution centers and/or purchasing shipping insurance to avoid loss, theft, or damage. We are not liable for any issues during return shipping. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Exchanges: Item(s) will be only replaced if they are defective or damaged. If you wish to exchange your item(s) for another product within 30 days, we aim to minimize restocking and shipping fees. However, these fees may still apply. Contact us at contact@astronomyhaven.com for details.
Gifts: If item(s) were shipped directly to you as a gift and you decide to return them within 30 days, in case you get a refund you'll be issued a gift credit equal to the return's value. Upon receipt of the returned item(s) and approval of the refund, a gift certificate will be promptly mailed to you.
Product & Packaging Condition: Inspect packaging and item(s) upon receipt. Report any damage immediately and send us the photos of the damage to contact@astronomyhaven.com the day of the delivery. We will assist you in making all the necessary arrangements to have your item(s) returned, and have a replacement shipped to you. Please return your item(s) in its original packaging.
If you notice damages in the packaging, please do NOT throw the packaging away. Please take photos of the packaging, and send it to contact@astronomyhaven.com the day of the delivery.
Refund
Once your returned item(s) have been received and inspected at the warehouse(s), we will send you an email notification that we have received your returned item(s). This can take up to 7 business days.
We will also notify you on the approval or rejection of your refund and process your refund accordingly. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed minus a minimum of 15% restocking fee, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, which can take up to 15 business days.
If your refund hasn't been reflected in your account, we’d suggest checking your bank statements first. Following that, please get in touch with your credit card company, as there might be a delay in the official posting of your refund. Additionally, reach out to your bank, considering there's usually a processing time before the refund appears. If, after completing these steps, you still haven't received your refund, please don't hesitate to contact us at contact@astronomyhaven.com.
Non-Qualifying products
- Special Orders: Not eligible for the 30-day return policy. Notify us of defects or damages the day of the delivery.
- Custom Orders: Engraved, customized, or special orders cannot be returned. Reach out for repair or replacement.
- Refurbished Products: All sales are final.
- Sale items: All sales are final.
- Solar items: Not eligible for return if they are returned after a significant eclipse event.

Damages
If the item is damaged, you must make note of it immediately when signing for delivery and send photos to contact@astronomyhaven.com the day of the delivery.
Remember to keep all the original packaging for any items that need to be returned. All returns need to be authorized by our customer service department prior to being processed.
We will ensure you get the product you ordered, undamaged, as soon as possible. Items that become damaged after use are non-refundable unless specified under warranty.
Cancellations
If you would like to cancel an order, please email us at contact@astronomyhaven.com or call our customer service team immediately to avoid return shipping fees.
ONLY cancellations received before shipment will receive a full refund.
Orders canceled after item(s) have been shipped will follow our 30 Day Return Policy and will be subject to return shipping costs and a minimum of 15% restocking fee.
Other Return Policy Notes
- If a certain vendor or product does not support the Return Policy stated above, this will be noted in the product descriptions or in the product-specific return information.
- Products that are specified as certified pre-owned or used are ineligible for a return.
- Products that are custom or special orders are ineligible for a return.
- Astronomy Haven only sells to customers who intend to use the item(s) for the duration of its economic life. Orders purchased for the specific purpose of a "one time use or temporary use" are not eligible for return under any circumstances. This includes but is not limited to: orders intended for use in a trade show or a conference venue, orders that are purchased by promotional companies, and orders that are purchased by trade show facilitators.
